Crazy Heart Had the Best Movie Soundtrack Ever

Crazy Heart is an Oscar-winning film, nabbing the awards for best actor and best original song. The best original song is called The Weary Kind, written by Ryan Bingham and T Bone Burnett. It is the final song written in the film by Jeff Bridges' character and recorded by Colin Farrell's character. Jeff Bridges' career is saved and he's sober and happy. The end. Oh sorry... Spoilers...

On the soundtrack, however, it is Bingham and his backing band The Dead Horses that record the song. On top of Bingham, Buck Owens, The Louvin Brothers, Townes Van Zandt and even the great Waylon Jennings make appearances on the album. Colin Farrell and Jeff Bridges also show their musical talent and manage to record a few of the songs.

Though it seems to be one of those films that hooks a bunch of awards then rides off into the sunset never to be heard from again, this soundtrack will stand the test of time. It is, in my humble opinion, the best movie soundtrack ever.
